Flare

In my childhood, I would stand in the driveway and stare at the sun. The colors that were seen, even with eyes closed, were fantastic—almost imaginary. Flare is a recreation of those temporary transitional colors as gender-fluid silhouettes. Within the simplified shapes, symmetry, and volume, there are subtle openings or moments of tenderness alluding to the vulnerability of childhood. The collection shows the fleeting passage of time through a slow gradient from garment to garment, model to model. Flare is a gender-fluid line recreating the impermanence of color from childhood memories of staring at the sun.
